Updates

Well, it seems like the 8th and 9th weeks were SOOO tiring, but now in the 10th things are getting better. I feel the overwhelming need to take naps 3 times a day. I'm considerably more hungry, waking up in the middle of the night to eat pretzels, but thats about all.

Big changes coming "down the road". We're preparing to sell one of our 2-door cars because they are both manual and the traffic gives me leg cramps..and it will be really difficult to put a baby in the backseat. So, we are selling all the extra parts of the MINI and I'm going to drive around my grandparent's 1999 Buick La Sabre for the summer until we buy a new car. Stylin'!

Sensitive Teeth

Apparently your gums get sensitive when you're pregnant (because of the hormones). I could have sworn I had a cavity in my back tooth, but a trip to the dentist revealed nothing...

Babies Everywhere!

Congrats to our family and friends, we had two babies born this week! I guess I should go help take care of them so I know what it's like...

Baby Colin (proud parents Walter and Jei):

Baby Trinity (proud parents Calvin and Judy):

Which makes me wonder...is our baby going to look asian or american?!

Easter!

Its way early for Easter but Leah was having cravings to make Easter Eggs for our unborn baby. So here they are, Peeps do it your self candy eggs!

Sonogram II

Leah and I went another sonogram on Friday to check up two weeks after the first one. The first time we foundout Leah wasn't as far along as we thought and the baby wasn't visible yet.

This time we could see the baby, heart beat and all! Its smaller than a gummy bear and looks like a blob. The nurse said we are 7 weeks along and the baby is due late Oct. The nurse made us feel really comfortable and everything is going well, praise the Lord!

Symptoms

During the first few weeks I had a constant reminder of pregnancy - cramps. They have now subsided and have given way to more traditional reminders...random leg cramps, ridiculous tiredness (imagine feeling like you stayed up all night at a retreat or sleepover and then had to go to work), hunger, nausea....what about getting really easily annoyed?

I haven't really gained weight, actually lost a few pounds, but am taking my meds and trying to rest a lot. Overall, its a new experience!

Hormones and Baby Shower

So, after my first sonogram, the doctor said its still really early and they couldn't see the fetus at all. Based on our calculations though, there should have been a little something in there! So, my OBGYN prescribed some extra hormones for me to take. I got some bloodwork checked and it looks like my number are progressing well! Praise the Lord.

Also, this weekend, I had the pleasure of attending a baby shower for a good friend from school. Not many people there know I'm expecting, so I just sat back and enjoyed and got a taste of the things to come!

Congrats Sara and Jeff! We're right behind you :)
