Benjamin's nickname is Crank. When he gets a cryin', its loud and intense. Quite a little crank boy. See that devious smile? He is especially cranky around 8pm and right before naps. We are starting to figure him out though. But then, everytime you figure something out, he grows out of it and starts something new :)
On the horizon, he'll be going in for his 4 month checkup soon. I'm sure they'll be telling us how fat he is- I tried to weigh him on our postage scale and it said 16 lbs! He has doubled his birthweight and that is one of the requirements for starting to eat solids. Soon enough he'll be putting some thicker food in his belly!

I totally agree with you. You think you have them figured out, and then they change! That has been the only constant of parenthood. :P My oh my, look at the Michelin tire arms on Benjamin's upper arms. Wow. He'll need solids before he's 6 months old b/c milk probably won't provide enough calories!
it might be a good time to start now. Keira started at 4 months too. I would feed her a small rice bowl of baby food i made and finish it with breastfeeding. see what the doctor says...but also know to use ur own judgment. not every baby is the same and all doctors like to follow the same schedule for all babies no matter what :(
